Citadel Source are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading listed business based in the city centre to recruit a Finance Business Partnering role to be employed on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in office) on an exciting new opportunity partnering the management team of a recently acquired business within the group portfolio.

About you

The successful candidate will be a confident, personable individual, with strong partnering skills and the ability to relate complex financial information to senior leadership within the business, supporting on commercial activities such as bid work, tenders, business cases, but also with a keen eye for continuous improvement as the business now needs to be a far more process driven controlled environment that is was previously due to the nature of the acquiring business.

The role

This is a really excellent opportunity for a candidate who likes to partner as the acquired business needs a significant amount of support to build a quality MI driven approach to their enterprise. The role will be supporting on building the businesses budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that operational colleagues are set challenging but achievable targets, identifyng risks and opportunities, and tracking progress against actions alongside the senior leadership team.

As the Finance Business Partner your role will include but not be limited to:

• Business partner with Senior Leadership Team of the entity
• Attend and build relationships with the business at all levels, actively participate in management meetings.
• Coach the Assistant Management Accountant within the team.
• Support the Management Accountant with the timely delivery of the period end process
• Involvement with internal business cases, bids & tenders or external purposes to provide financial support on business critical matters.
• Analysis of the management accounts and variances to budget/forecast and prior year, with supporting commentary to ensure managers understand drivers of performance.
• Support the business with budgeting and forecasting as required
