Finance BI Manager

Excited to be partnering with one of my Law Firm clients with the recruitment of a Business Intelligence Manager to join their M&BD function!

This role will be a part of the firm's global BI team and will link closely with their other functions, such as, Finance, IT, HR etc to deliver projects and solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop an in depth understanding of the systems and resources the firm has access to, both financial and non-financial, in conducting strategic
• Take an active role in scoping, building and implementing Client Intelligence tools, PowerBI Dashboards and others.
• Support the BI Manager and M&BD leadership in providing insightful research and analysis to firm leadership, related for example to the economic and political climate, competitors, and clients.
• Manage reporting needs for the Practice, Regional and Clients and Sectors teams, as needed.
• Formulate market/client intelligence resources, e.g., industry newsletters and client dossiers.
• Play an active role in the global M&BD department's budgets, including ongoing reporting, analysis and key involvement in the annual budget setting process.
• On an as-needed-basis contribute to broader firm projects (e.g. systems and technology projects), drawing on their knowledge of the firm's data.
• Provide input into the team's strategy and goal setting.
• Potential line management responsibilities for two junior team members.
• Help workload balancing across the team and maintain oversight of day-to-day workflows.

Key recruitment:

• Five years+ of experience working in a finance/research/business analysis role.
• Relevant post-graduate finance or management qualification (such as a Financial degree, preferably CIMA or equivalent or an MBA).
• High proficiency at an advanced level in the use of Microsoft office: Especially using Excel, including working with Pivot tables, Power Pivot and Power Query. Highly proficient in PowerPoint.
• Proven experience of analysis in a professional services or corporate environment.
