Job Title: Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department in managing day-to-day accounting tasks and ensuring financial integrity across all aspects of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and inquiries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in accounting and finance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
