This is a fantastic opportunity for a school/college leaver to undertake a finance apprenticeship at a global logistics company based in Farnborough.

This apprenticeship role will require the successful candidate to be office based 4 days per week, learning on the job, and 1 day per week attending college or home study to support an AAT qualification.

This role offers ongoing training and the opportunity to gain a finance qualification fully funded. You will be joining a friendly and supportive environment with an employer who can offer progression within the company for the right candidate.

Finance Apprentice - About The Role

You will provide day-to-day bookkeeping support for the company and assist in the financial monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing provision of administration support to both clients and suppliers
  • Purchase Ledger - invoice entry, reconciliation of statements, payments, remittance advices
  • Credit Control
  • Assisting preparation of financial accounts for audit
  • Support with filing of all generated paperwork relating to accounting topics
  • Provide cover for accounts staff in all areas in Sales Ledger, receipts, proformas, cash book reconciliation and uploading to factoring company

The successful Finance Apprentice will have/be:

  • Financial and numeracy skills and high levels of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • IT skills
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Customer/client focused
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
