Robert Walters - Finance Analyst - Permanent - Leicestershire - Public Sector

Our client, are looking for a Finance Analyst to provide strategic advice and guidance to Senior Leadership team and elected members to support decision making, whilst challenging and influencing management to ensure the best outcome.

Location: Leicestershire
Contract hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum + pension

Key responsibilities of the Finance Analyst

* Work as part of project teams to optimise funding streams, appraise options, produce financial business cases and provide and on-going financial oversight
* Gain sufficient understanding of the departmental business need and its operations to evaluate strategic implications of financial issues ensuring managers having appropriate advice
* Support the development of management information and the related systems to improve the links between financial information, operational activity and outcomes, focusing on price and volume analysis, unit costing and benchmarking
* Business Partner in finding resolution to conflict priorities between the service department and the finance function

Key essentials of the Finance Analyst

* Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
* Demonstrate an appropriate level of influence and persuasion and be bale to promote own case
* Use Microsoft Office proficiently
