About The Role
Team – Finance Business Partners
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
This Finance Analyst role is integral to the successful performance of the Finance Business Partnering & Finance Operations Team. The role will have a key input into the month end accounting, reporting and reconciliation of the expenses within the Vitality Services Company. The role would suit someone with a keen eye and passion for simplification, automation, and digitalisation of processes. 
Key Actions
  • Monthly Services Company, expenses recharge, reconciliation, and invoicing
  • Fixed Asset accounting calculation
  • IFRS16 Lease accounting
  • RMAR, a quarterly regulatory form, preparation
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation including intercompany accounts, with review of any discrepancies.
  • Preparation of monthly Expense Performance Pack slides.
  • Drive for automation, simplification, and documentation of all processes.
  • Temporarily provide additional support to the Vitality Creditors Team during busy periods including with the preparation of the Vitality Programme P&L.
  • Provide support and/or lead on Anaplan projects which is striving for continued automation and digitalisation of several manual tasks within the Finance Team.
  • Action adhoc queries requested from the Business Partnering Team, Finance Operations Manager and Audit.
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
  • Relevant experience within a finance role & understanding of finance month end procedures
  • Complete understanding and comfortability with core accounting principles (Debits/Credits, Prepayments, Accruals)
  • Able to comfortably liaise and connect with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Must have strong time-management and organisational skills and a proactive nature for getting things done quickly
  • Highly analytical with attention to detail and an eye for simplification or automation
  • Confidence to contest the norm and suggest ways to do things differently
  • Very proficient with Excel and able to manage data and analysis using various formulas and tools (e.g. Pivot Tables, Vlookups, SumIfs)
  • AAT or equivalent
