Finance Analyst

CMA is delighted to be exclusively supporting our Poole Dorset client who is currently in need of a Finance Analyst to join their team on an initial 6–9-month contract to support a close-knit finance team on a variety of tasks including process improvement, variance and cost analysis and supporting in month end procedures.

Our client is going through a transitional period within the business with the potential of longer-term opportunities within the finance team.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

• Cost and margin analysis;

• Inventory analysis and reporting;

• Supporting the CFO with financial modelling and tender preparations;

• Business partnering, speaking with department heads and external customers;

• Supporting with forecasting and budget preparations

• Hands on month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations.

• Supporting in accounts payable, processing invoices and expenses;

• Help drive efficiencies and process improvement within accounts payable.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:

• Ideally studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification or qualified by experience;

• Confident excel user, with the ability to utilise vlook-ups, pivots and macros;

• Previous experience building report and analysis;

• Happy to work in a hands on role and supporting in accounts payable alongside month end and analysis;

• Confident communicator with the ability to relay financial information to non-finance members.

Additional benefits and information for the role of Finance Analyst:

• £33,000-£37,000 salary depending on experience;
