Adecco are seeking a Finance Analyst join a UK finance team on a short-term contract in Newbury. This position is responsible for supporting the UK finance team in delivering financial insights to the organisation that will help to deliver on its business strategy. You will work closely with the Senior financial analyst to deliver our budget and projection cycles, monthly financial analysis, and a variety of other interesting ad-hoc finance activities. Working hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, working on a Hybrid pattern (Tues and Thurs in the office).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior financial analyst in all aspects of management reporting
  • Review P&L variances to deliver insights between actual and expected financial performance
  • Support Senior Analyst to deliver quarterly Budget and Projection cycles, including headcount management and insights
  • Review P&L and Balance Sheet information to identify exceptions and provide information and insight to ensure correct journals and results.
  • Help develop standardised reports and processes
  • Embrace PowerBI dashboards, turning big data into actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Other miscellaneous finance activities, including financial support for ad-hoc projects
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the site and the broader organisation.
  • Assist with all internal and external audits, and other compliance activities, where required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional accounting certification (i.e. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) or part qualified with extensive experience
  • Practical experience of using Microsoft Excel to an advanced level
