Your New Role As FP&A Accountant:

A newly established role, the Analyst will report directly to the Finance Lead, supporting the internal financial planning and reporting deliverables across the various projects. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and internal finance to close month-end processes for accurate reporting. Seeking to enhance the process and procedures in this area of finance, you shall also support alongside project delivery teams to analyse Devex and Capex plans against actuals providing insightful comments on the drivers of those variances to enable senior management to evaluate key performance metrics. The role will also support process automation and assist with improving an integrated business planning and reporting framework for the business.

Main role responsibilities:

• Supports planning and budgeting, consulting with the project delivery teams, and gathering required inputs to deliver accurate financial modelling of Devex and Capex budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Manages the monthly cash requirement spend profile and the 12-month rolling cash forecast for efficient drawdowns.
• Supports the improvement of the delivery of a concise and insightful Annual Business Planning Report to senior management.
• Manages month-end closing calendar, liaising with all aspects of business functions to ensure timely delivery of integrated management reporting pack.
• Performs in-depth ad hoc and periodic financial analysis required for management and project team to understand the drivers of the variances between budget/forecast versus actual results.
• Attends key project meetings to build project insight required for efficient Planning and Analysis.
• Supports further process automation and improvements to the reporting structure based on a whole business approach.
• Supports analysis required to pass Investors and other stakeholders' financial due diligence enquiries.
• Supports the analysis to oblige debt compliance reporting to lenders
• Manages critical internal control documentation relating to external compliance
• Supports various day-to-day activities of the finance/accounts department.

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

With a focus on the commercial activities of the UK business, this role will provide the opportunity for you to use your experience & initiative to drive changes to the planning process. You shall have a proven track record of adding value in an FP&A role, with the experience to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You shall be proficient in enhancing reporting, building financial models and also be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA ACA ACCA). You shall have experience in a similar Commercially focused role and have strong technical skills to deliver detailed analysis and reporting with a keen attention to the financial detail.
