Your new role
Finance Analyst - Finance Business Partner - Neighbourhoods & Regeneration
You will be a key business partner working closely with the council's Neighbourhoods & Regeneration.

Main Focus of the role -

• Analysis and management of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) - making sure that payments are properly accounted for and transfers are made correctly.
• Responsible for financial support to the departments including such areas as the annual budget, monthly monitoring and statutory reporting.
• Support officers, providing them with high level professional advice on a broad range of financial issues.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on new legislation (relevant to CIL and S106) and accounting standards

What you'll need to succeed

• You will ideally have experience of working with Regeneration & Planning teams.
• Applications are also welcome from candidates with good business partnering experience who have worked alongside a range of stakeholders and customers and who have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of dealing with data and completing reconciliations, with good Excel skills.
• Experience of using Oracle would be an advantage.
• You are likely to be AAT or be part qualified and have either worked in local government finance or have a keen interest in doing so.
