Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join their client at their St Austell Branch!

Job Details

  • Location: Cornwall Office – St Austell
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Salary: £24,000
  • 20 days annual leave plus an additional day per year of service (up to 25 days), plus bank holidays

Job Purpose:
They are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator to join their dynamic finance team. This new role involves managing daily cash book reconciliations and Accounts Payable tasks, offering an excellent opportunity for career development within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Administrator:
  • Manage the purchase ledger, including processing invoices, credit notes, supplier queries and statement reconciliations.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details meticulously.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations, post bank transactions, and set up BACS payments.
  • Process monthly staff expenses and client refunds via PayPal, BACS, and Stripe.
  • Ensure timely processing of Proforma receipts and updating of back-office systems.
  • Raise cash sale invoices monthly.
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in processing all transactions in compliance with company policies and regulatory obligations.
  • Assist with month-end processes and undertake ad hoc finance tasks as required by the business needs.

Key Skills and Qualifications of the Finance Administrator:
  • Previous experience in a finance environment preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to be proactive and reactive.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a strong commitment to learning and excellence.
