MERJE are partnered with a leading Investment Management organisation in their search for a Regulatory Reporting Officer.

This is a varied role which includes responsibility for performing the duties of the Treasury Back Office function, including the inputting of payments and journals to match the cash flows of the business on a day-to-day basis and the daily review of trade reconciliations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and associated Treasury limits. Also encompasses the production and oversight of prudential regulatory returns as well as supporting the Regulatory Reporting Manager on wider capital management and reporting activities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily payments and journals in relation to treasury deposits
    • Production of daily and monthly treasury reconciliations including the resolution of queries/reconciliation breaks as required
    • Confirmation of treasury transactions in a timely manner
    • Supporting the Treasury Front Office team to ensure the Treasury function operates smoothly and in line with all regulations
    • Timely and accurate production of the firm’s prudential regulatory returns in adherence to the Investment Firm Prudential Regime  
    • Support on capital adequacy monitoring
    • Production of accurate and timely internal reports covering month end forecast regulatory metrics against regulatory requirements and risk appetite
    • Support the Regulatory Reporting Manager in wider compliance the firm’s prudential regulatory requirements including the firm’s annual Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process
    • Keep up to date with any changes in prudential regulatory requirements
    • Assist with the identification and implementation of process improvements
    • Maintain the appropriate knowledge, skills, and expertise to carry out the role competently.

Our Ideal candidate:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Experience of working within tight deadlines as required
  • High degree of numeracy and accuracy with data entry experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Finance experience or knowledge of payment processing 
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, planning and escalation
  • Self-starter, quick learner, with an ability to adjust to change and the desire to take on responsibility is required
  • Previous experience of working in the financial services sector
  • Prior regulatory reporting experience and knowledge of the Investment Firm Prudential Regime or similar regulation is desirable but not a prerequisite
