Field Support Stores person - Field based

Full time permanent

Monday to Friday - day shifts only

£competitive + £4,000 car allowance + mileage

Paid Accomodation and a meal allowance (if staying overnight)
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT AND BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL AND STAY AWAY

Our client, is a market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe. We are seeking a Field Support Operative to travel to client stores throughout the North West/Scotland area and sometimes UK, providing stores cover and support.

A background gained in busy engineering and manufacturing, or corporate environments would be beneficial, but is not as essential as the attitude to deliver, develop and succeed.

Job Description:
* To receipt deliveries and put stock away in pre-determined storage locations
* To issue stock products
* To assist customers in the selection of goods, advising where applicable alternatives that reduce overall cost
* To initiate and conclude all customer / vendor returns in approved manners
* To conduct rotational stock checks as required
* To conduct progressing and associated duties as required for site
* To identify cost saving measures that will benefit the Customer
* To drive continuous improvements to the engineering stores
* To maintain the store standards to Opex requirements
* To provide excellent levels of customer service for the client
* To assist with any specific project work or implementation as resource requires
* To train and develop Store envoys as required for the needs of the business
* To maintain the required H&S site requirements including reporting near misses as per company procedure
* To complete a handover document for the Envoy's return
* Carry out any other reasonable management request to assist the business or client

Skills Required:
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A willingness to learn and develop
* A Forklift Truck License is desirable but not essential
* Full Driving License
* Fully Flexible as will be required to travel to Client Stores sites across the UK at short notice - Regular overnight stays required.
* SAP experience (desirable, but not essential).
* A positive 'can do' attitude
