The Role:

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the proactive progression of the service, maintenance, installation and commissioning of customers' equipment, including revolving doors and security turnstiles, to ensure the highest possible standards whilst protecting the best interests of the company. The role is both challenging and varied.

Key Aspects of the Role:

• You will attend numerous sites with Boon Edam products to maintain and service them both on a pre-planned and a callout basis
• You will assess and determine the work needed to be carried out with a view to completing this work in a timely manner
• You will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers whilst promoting the products and services of Boon Edam
• You will be a confident communicator and display excellent time management skills
• You will be technical-minded, enjoy problem solving, and have a keen interest in ensuring health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
• The role requires regular paperwork to be completed and submitted promptly

This is a remote role where the successful candidate will be expected to operate from their respective regional base. In addition, you may be required to work from a different regional base as requested by the Regional Service Manager. There will be the occasional need to stay away from home and be on standby for callouts overnight and on weekends. Therefore, flexibility in working hours is essential.

The successful candidate will need to be based in the Bristol, Swindon or Newbury area, and must hold a full, clean driving licence.

What Are The Skills Necessary To Perform This Role?

• Working knowledge of health and safety
• Experience as an automatic door engineer or working in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
• Technically competent
• Background in engineering is an advantage
• CSCS card holder is desirable but not essential
• EN 16005 accredited desirable but not essential
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Highly organised with excellent time management
• Excellent communicator who can liaise with and build customer rapport
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes
• Electro/Mechanical qualification is desirable but not essential
• GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or higher
