Do you have an Engineering background and are comfortable working in a customer-facing technical capacity?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an international market leader in healthcare simulation training and therapy products, programmes and digital solutions

The post-holder will be required to undertake frequent travel and work from home/remotely predominantly within the South West/South Central/South Wales with occasional work beyond this region in the UK. It is therefore essential to have a clean driving licence. Company Car will be provided.

You don’t necessarily have to have experience as training would be given- we would consider an entry level graduate depending on the candidate

The Role-Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the planned preventative and predictive maintenance, installation, service and repair of a range of technologically innovative healthcare simulation and therapy products, programmes, digital solutions and networked products at customer sites and remotely. Ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times the role requires response to customer and internal enquiries, providing technical support via digital tools such as XM reality, Team Viewer as well as phone, email, virtual chat and on-site visits. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment that includes hardware, software, AV and networking components and performing repairs and solutions. Collaborating internally to support technical capability and training non-technical staff in basic troubleshooting. Capability to train end users on technical operation and maintenance of products and programmes and develop technical training. Associated administration using CRM system Salesforce, outlook and calendly scheduling tool in relation to all aspects of role and wider general company requirements.

Your Background - Field Service Engineer.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate::

  • A competent background in a customer-facing technical capacity.
  • Applications are encouraged from a broad range of backgrounds, examples include:
    • - simulation technician
    • - ex-forces engineers (medical, dental, weapons systems, electrical/mechanical)
    • - biomedical engineering
    • - patient monitoring, critical care, anaesthesia and ventilation systems, ultrasound and medical imaging.
    • - entry level graduate
  • Applications are welcome from a broad base of sectors as full and comprehensive product training will be provided.

Qualifications-
Essential

  • Full UK driving licence D1 desirable
  • Enhanced DBS

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, medical engineering, simulation technician related field or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • HNC or equivalent in a technical, engineering subject or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Certification/ IT proficiency /intermediate experience in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word, teams and O365.
  • CISCO Certified Networking Associate desirable or equivalent networking experience.
  • Firewall, AV and software experience.
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) - PTLLS desirable.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining products, hardware and programmes, digital solutions software and networking.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in team leadership- desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Training delivery.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines while carrying out job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by maintaining a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex problems
  • Work independently, but also in a team.
