Our client, a global supplier of specialised laboratory equipment, currently require a Field Service Engineer to operate in the South of England. The role provides a high level of training and would suit a mechanically-minded individual who enjoys being out on the road, interacting with customers and solving problems.

The areas you will be mainly covering include Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey with less frequent trips to West London as well as Bristol, with the odd day in the South West.


A company car will be provided which is also for personal use outside of working hours, all work related fuel costs will be reimbursed.

Field Service Engineer responsibilities:

  • Provide field-based support to customers
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Perform Installation, preventative maintenance, validation, and emergency repairs for specialist range of laboratory equipment.
  • Liaise with head office and senior engineers to troubleshoot any issues
  • Record and report all activity in line with company procedures

The ideal Field service Engineer will possess:

  • Minimum HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or have equivalent industry experience)
  • Some industry experience, ideally in service, repair or maintenance
  • An eagerness to learn new skills
  • A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
