Home based, Hybrid role - Looking for a person preferably based in or around Gateshead/Newcastle.
Our team works with a major retailer and are accountable for introducing IT equipment into new Stores, Distribution Centres and Depots, as well as new, or changes to, the existing IT, voice, and data solutions across established sites, as necessitated by Business requirements. This activity spans the territories of the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands within main chain as well as Stores owned by our Franchise Partners.
This vacancy sits within the Office function of our Team, and the successful Candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating a team of mobile field engineers across the UK. activities within the role.
The successful Candidate must have proven advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and be able to perform accurate data entry.
The company you would be working with has been established for over 20 years, ideally the person applying would be looking to progress and develop all of the Skills required and assist in smooth running and building on the company's already substantial experience in the EPOS & IT market.
Skills required
- Field engineering background
- Full clean Driving license
- Good customer facing
- Office 365 (Excel/Outlook/Teams)
- Good geographical knowledge
- Must be of smart appearance
- Attention to detail
- 38 hours per week
- Overtime
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Duties to include
- Looking after a team of 30plus mobile field engineers.
- Making sure they have correct tools, PPE, and other devices for jobs.
- Vehicle/fleet checking
- Liaise on a 121 basis with them making regular calls, catch ups and KPI improvement plans.
- Updating skills matrix’s
- Site visits (can sometimes involve staying away) as engineers are UK based. Fuel and subsidies all covered.
- Visits to Head office (Milton Keynes) for staff meetings
Please note, you do not have to be located in Newcastle upon Tyne.
