ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Our client provides domiciliary home care services across the South East and is now looking to appoint a new Field Care Supervisor in their Brighton Branch.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To play a lead role in the development of good community care practices and procedures.

To represent our Client as the first member of staff to visit Service Users and undertake complete assessments of task and risk. To transfer this information into a completed care plan.

To work in conjunction with the office care co-ordinator and to assist in the smooth running and upkeep of all care delivery practice and procedures.

To provide a cover care service and deliver care as instructed by the care manager and care co-ordinator when emergencies, short-term requirements and covers are needed.

QUALITY AND STANDARDS

Deliver initial care service to all new service users, to introduce permanent carers and to monitor and review ongoing packages of care, undertake regular spot checks, assessments and review visits as required.
To further establish the quality reputation of our Client and identify opportunities for

increasing service provision, through effective liaison with other agencies as appropriate:

To be prepared to carry out emergency last resort cover for care workers if required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Attributes

  • Understanding of legislation relating to community care.

  • Recognise problems and formulate solutions.

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • Good level of numeracy and basic IT skills

  • Assessment and gathering information skills.

  • Organisational skills including scheduling work effectively, supervising staff and providing professional support.

  • Capable of accepting responsibility and coping with emergencies.

  • Positive attitude to own health and work attendance record.

  • Ability to implement and review care plans and work with complex cases.

  • Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Education to GCSE 5 subjects or higher

  • GNVQ/NVQ level 3 in Social Care or higher

  • At least 12 months experience in care supervision or relevant role

  • Previous experience as a care worker useful but not essential

JOB OBJECTIVES

It is the responsibility of the Care Supervisor to support the Branch Manager, and other members of the staff team to :

  • To carry out all aspects of the process in the of delivery of the care service according to the following guidelines.

  • To Implement the Company's policies & procedures, guidelines and regulations and to operate within the existing structured framework

  • Carry out day-to-day operational branch activities including, but not limited to, the following according to the instructions of the Branch Manager or the Head Office Management.

  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Company's Customer Care Policy.

  • Ensure full compliance with the National Care Standards and local CSCI requirements

  • Make every effort to ensure continuity and growth of the care services to ensure that care workers have sufficient work and that we can meet the demand of our customers.

The salary is between £22.000-£24,000 per annum + bonus and benefits

37.5hrs per week (rota to include some weekends)

1 weekend per month on call (extra £200)
