Failure Analysis Engineer

Near Sheffield - Onsite position

The roles will include but not limited to:

Full responsible for the failure analysis and physical analysis of power semiconductor module products.

To conduct failure and physical analysis of power semiconductor modules, locate the fail or damage location, investigate the possible failure mechanisms by electrical test, thermal test, cross section analysis, SAM, SEM, FIB, X-Ray, EDX etc.

Prepare the samples for the above analysis.

To study new failure analysis investigation methods.

To propose reliability improvement suggestions in terms of technology and materials.

To write the failure analysis report and RMA report.

To support company sales team on customer meetings for returned failure product discussion.

To be considered for the position you will need the following:

Academically qualified - A bachelors degree equivalent or above in microelectronics, solid state electronics, material engineering, power electronics, physics or other related majors.

Recent experience in semiconductor device qualification, reliability or failure analysis, or material characterization and analysis.

Proficient in use of physical analysis equipment.

Good understanding of semiconductor power semiconductor devices, such as IGBT, MOSFET, SCR and Diode modules.

Ability to present data in a meaningful way that allows understanding by a diverse audience.

Good analytical and practical skills for data and information analysis.

Ability to plan out tasks and meet required deadlines.
