Our Basildon based client are seeking a full-time on-site Factory Cleaner on a permanent basis.  The purpose of the role will be to ensure that the factory is kept clean and tidy including all waste removal.

You will be interacting with the Factory Foreman and Departmental Supervisors and will report into the Factory Manager.

The Role:

This role will be responsible for ensuring effective and high standard of Factory Housekeeping is achieved, so that production flow is not compromised, and safe working areas are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Vacuum cleaning Factory Floors within all departments
• Vacuum cleaning High Level pipework / ducting within all departments
• Monitoring and emptying Hi-Vac system on a regular basis
• Frequently monitor and empty waste / off cut bins
• Ensure regular and effective communication with all departmental Supervisors / Managers regarding timing of undertaking cleaning duties to ensure safe working and production is not interrupted
• Maintaining upkeep of the building perimeter grounds, car parking and yard area, undertaking light gardening duties, cutting grass, clearing weeds and general rubbish clearance

• Seek to continuously improve the quality and value of support provided by working with key colleagues
• Responsible for positively contributing to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations and quality standards.
• Complete all mandatory Health and Safety training and any corporate refresher training where required, be an effective communicator with excellent attention to Detail.
• Current Counter-Balance Forklift Truck (CBT) License (in-house licences to be considered)

Days and Hours:           Monday – Friday 8am – 5:30pm (42.5 hours a week)

Annual Salary:               £23,293.40 per annum

Location:                       Basildon, Essex (Due to location a car would be desirable)
