Job Opportunity: Facilities Supervisor
Location: BHF Priory Centre Head Office, Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Reporting To: Office Coordinator
Salary: £11.99 per hour
 
Job Summary:
 
As the Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the organisation and maintenance of the Priory Centre to uphold high standards of service delivery. Working closely with the Office Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing daily operations, assisting with events and meetings, and providing excellent customer support.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Open and close the Priory building daily, ensuring security measures are in place.
  • Assist in organising and executing events and meetings, including setup and clean up.
  • Act as a first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing professional assistance.
  • Manage room setups, refreshments, and cleanliness to meet standards.
  • Maintain the car park, ensuring availability for events and guiding visitors.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and report any issues to the Office Coordinator.
  • Complete daily checklists and support the Estates team with tasks.
  • Provide reception coverage and support office operations as needed.
  • Ensure functionality and supplies for office equipment, including photocopiers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Update signage and manage booking systems and emails efficiently.
  • Support tenants within the building.
  • Step up into the Office Coordinator position in their absence.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proactive attitude with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of facilities management and event coordination.
  • Flexibility to cover various tasks and duties as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with booking systems.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • The ability to operate a walkie-talkie.
