An exceptional opportunity for a Facilities Site Manager has come up at a growing and sophisticated Horsham manufacturing site.


Purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will manage the Horsham site and be part of the Facilities team taking ownership of business-critical facilities.

Ensuring infrastructure, utilities and facilities are provided reliably and safely to Manufacturing operations at site.

The role will support the delivery of new plant infrastructure and execute CAPEX support plans to deadlines and budgets to ensure minimum disruption when installing new equipment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain facilities at the Horsham site within budget and operational metrics
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met and maintained
  • Develop cost reduction and efficiency improvement plans for all building services including energy saving initiatives
  • Support with delivery of new plant infrastructure for manufacturing scale-up, changes in layout of manufacturing infrastructure. Execute CAPEX support plans to deadlines and budgets to ensure minimum disruption when installing new equipment
  • Line management of facilities technicians including workload allocation, target setting, training, and development
  • Arrange outsourcing of activities as required to smooth resource requirements and maximise efficiency
  • Manage all site related matters and issues of legal compliance for the site
  • Manage and instruct contractors for repairs, maintenance, and production support. Ensure contractors service level agreements match performance required for the business and maintain KPI’s for key contract services
  • Develop and maintain a TPM system for all key services
  • Manage the security of all sites as well as all outsourced services
  • Be flexible to ensure out of hours are supported and managed effectively
  • There will be a requirement to be On Call one week in every four
  • Support critical site shutdowns which are planned twice per year OOH


Knowledge and skills required for the role:

  • Manage factory site facilities including all hard and soft services
  • Fault finding analytical and root cause analysis
  • Ideally Electrical and Mechanical understanding
  • Experience with TPM and a KPI driven environment
  • Experience of working with HVAC, BMS, clean room environments
  • Ideally IoSHH trained, NEBOSH or similar
  • Champions a safety culture and always leads by example for safe working
  • Clear on business objectives and ensures work is carried out in line with them
  • Pro-active, self-starting, open to new ideas and new directions
  • Effective control of the Horsham site in terms of all services and contractor management
  • Correct functioning of all facilities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Meets KPI’s including 'equipment availability’, repair time, TPM’s on time etc
