Facilities Officer

JOB ROLE PURPOSE

Work in accordance with the practices and procedures of the Local Authority to deliver effective and efficient buildings maintenance support across Targeted Youth Support.

KEY TASKS

1. Monitor and maintain the security of premises and its contents (including the operation of fire and burglar alarms and key holder responsibilities) across Targeted Youth Support.
2. Maintain the lighting and heating of premises, as required (including the maintenance and operation of plant).
3. Oversee the cleaning of centres in accordance with agreed cleaning schedules, to include cleaning specific tasks as identified by the Team Manager.
4. Undertake handyperson duties including repairs, painting and maintenance arising from the use of premises and to aid the running of the service.
5. Develop and maintain relevant records and information systems, including records of fire practices, health and safety log, risk assessments.
6. Assist the Team Manager through generally monitoring of compliance and promotion of health and safety procedures.
