Salary : £30000 pro rata
 
Dynamite recruitment is working in partnership with a very well established business who is based in the Portsmouth area
 
Due to a change in the business our client is now looking to recruit a Health and Safety/Facilities Manager to join the business with immediate effect and on a temporary basis
 
 Responsibilities and Duties:
  • To provide Health, Safety & Environmental expertise to develop, influence and promote a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business
  • To undertake Risk Assessment Method Statements and Site Inspections as and when required
  • Management of all security aspects of the business
  • To keep up to date with current legislation and ensure correct protocol is being followed
  • To provide Health & Safety meetings alongside training courses for employees
  • To provide office based health and safety walk arounds and assessments
  • Maintain a register for remedial action
  • Fire and safety evacuation plans
  • First aid management
  • Be a liaison between the office campus and contractors
The ideal  Facilities , H&S person will have the following skills and experience:

  • Able to manage Health and Safety from a experience led level
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety environment  
  • Good level of understanding in both reading and writing RAMS
  • Able to work on their own initiative
  • Willingness to take control of a situation
  • Some experience of working in a facilities environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • The ability to lead by example
