Are you an M&E Engineer and Facilities Manager seeking an extraordinary opportunity to be the first full-time Facilities Manager employed within a State-of-the-art Mansion Estate for one of the wealthiest families in the UK?

A rare and exclusive invitation to become a leader in the ground-breaking estate built only 2 years ago. The family are looking for a hands-on Facilities Engineer to work a hybrid role, combining hands-on practice with systems and contract management.

This role would suit hands-on facilities engineer that possess a deep understanding of building management systems, contracts, and a commitment to exceptional standards of property maintenance.

This role offers the unique challenge of blending high technical competence with the finesse required for maintaining a luxury private residence. You will ensure the seamless operation of all building systems, manage contracts efficiently, and execute both strategic projects and Engineering tasks.

Reporting to the Family, you will be the first permanently employed Facilities Manager on the West-London Estate. You will be coming in to make  real impact on operations, processes and planned and reactive maintenance projects.

The Job:
  • Oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of a state-of-the-art private estate, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and building management systems function at peak performance.
  • Embrace a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues with the latest M&E systems, demonstrating expertise in modern engineering practices.
  • Manage contracts and service provider relationships with a focus on innovation and high standards of service.
  • Work in a hybrid role, requiring physical presence on-site approximately once a week, with flexibility to manage operations remotely, ensuring responsiveness and efficiency.
  
The Person:
  • A skilled Engineer with practical experience in M&E systems, particularly within modern, technologically advanced settings.
  • Deep understanding of and enthusiasm for new technologies in building management, capable of guiding a luxury estate through modern maintenance practices.
  • Experience in managing facilities or operations within a private household or luxury environment, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong project management skills, adept at balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic maintenance planning.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of working collaboratively with estate staff and external contractors to achieve seamless operational harmony.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to manage tasks effectively whether on-site or remotely, ensuring high standards are maintained across the estate.
  • Discreet, professional, and with a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the estate’s sophisticated systems are maintained to the highest standards.
