We immediately require a candidate to work in the Formby area. This opportunity is full time and on an ongoing basis.

Can you see yourself working as a Facilities Assistant? If so, then you would need to be available to start immediately. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed team, providing a practical service to the staff and pupils of the school. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:

  • Key holding, locking/unlocking
  • Compliance including COSHH, asbestos and Fire Safety
  • Repair and maintenance
  • Assisting with Facilities manager on site
  • Porterage and the cleanliness of the school diners
  • Room preparation for meetings and lettings
  • Helping to uphold the health and safety of all users of the school



As the successful candidate you will have:

- Previous experience of working in a similarly responsible site role, preferably within a school

- Ability to relate well to children and adults alike

- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe storage of materials

- Basic Health & Safety knowledge, and willingness to adhere to the Code of Safe Working Practice.

- A background in cleaning, plumbing, woodwork or general 'handy-work' would be advantageous

- The willingness to learn and train on the job

- A strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a professional and proactive attitude
