Pure are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Estimator with sound knowledge / experience of Fabrication manufacturing and processes. 

The main purpose of your role will be to support with timely, accurate assessments of costs to provide clients or potential clients with products. To consider all pertinent information about each project to determine how much it would cost to meet the clients needs. To support the development and growth of the architectural metalwork business

Other duties and responsibilities will include; 
  • Completion of full tender process; constructing bespoke quotations, estimations and BoQ's utilising drawings, specifications and site surveying.
  • Carry out preliminary checks to legal documents (tenders/contracts/agreements). Attend meetings when necessary and document accordingly.
  • Identify the project characteristics, benefits and areas of risk at an early stage.
  • Negotiation with clients. Achieve optimum conversion rates and strive to achieve desired financial margins.
  • Establish, develop and maintain new and existing professional relationships.
  • Obtain and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Complete material take offs.
  • Monitor project costings.
  • Work closely with management to ensure an efficient and effective execution of each project.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of products and capability to promote effective and profitable sales proposals.
  • Further general duties not detailed above will be required relevant to the role and support of the overall operation.

The ideal applicant would ideally possess the following skills and experience; 
  • Demonstrable estimating experience within a bespoke Fabrication Manufacturing environment.
  • IT literate (MS Office).
  • The ability to read technical drawings in .pdf and CAD format.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication, numerical, and mathematical skills.
  • Possess an eye for detail and able to work accurately.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients and suppliers at all levels.
  • Offer an honest and flexible approach.
  • Authoring and implementation of cost estimating tools, templates, databases, etc to promote accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Integration with Clarity (CRM) software.
  • An understanding of contracts and their implications.
  • Assess and evaluate enquiries and allocate an appropriate amount of time and accuracy to the quote/estimate considering suitability, enquiry type (tender/order to place), terms, contract and probability of award.
  • Possess excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. The role pays a competitive salary and comes with a range of benefits and development opportunities.
