Do you have experience working within an EYFS setting? Are you seeking your next role within education?

Empowering Learning are delighted to be working with a school in the DE21 area who are looking to appoint an EYFS Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis within their Early Years Team. the role will begin on April 15th

The school is based close to the city centre and has excellent transport links. The role will start as soon as possible for the right person. The working hours will be 08:30-15:30 and will be Monday to Friday.

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Supporting the teaching and learning within the EYFS unit
  • Leading phonics groups on a daily basis
  • Providing personal care when necessary
  • Using outdoor space to encourage learning through play
  • Providing 1:1 support to children who present with additional needs
  • Leading small academic interventions around basic maths and literacy

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working within EYFS or a nursery setting
  • Has previously delivered some sort of phonics to children
  • Can build relationships with children and staff
  • Is able to support pupils with special educational needs
  • Has an enthusiastic approach to learning
  • Can inspire children during their initial journey into education.
