The Recruitment Co. are currently recruiting for an Extrusion Section leader to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Port talbot area.

Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to £38,000
Working hours: Full time DAYS Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in FMG Manufacturing
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering


Experience/ Knowledge:

  • Continuous improvement and development of tooling
  • Control of raw materials
  • Machine set-up and improvements
  • Quality assurance procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of SMED
  • Managing and developing a team of 20 operators/ team leaders


Skills:

  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • IT skills, including microsoft word, excel etc
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including report writing
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent mechanical skills and knowledge
  • Innovative ideas and implementation


Key Responsibilities:

  • Selecting and sourcing parts and equipment
  • Organising planned maintenance tasks through PPM and TPM's
  • Coaching and mentoring - Support training through professional careers
  • Building Rapport with employees, customers and suppliers
  • Presenting findings to senior management
  • Practices of 5S
  • Supervising Contractors
  • Involvement in trials of new products and materials
  • Reporting directly with the production manager
  • Working as part of a team of 4 section leaders
