Executive Search Senior Researcher

Fully Remote, with requirement to attend London once a month for company meeting and dinner

My client is a estblished privately owned executive search firm exclusively focused on providing executive talent into private equity backed software companies undergoing major transformation and growth. They provide resourcing, research & advisory services placing board and leadership talent into highly succesful global Software companies.

The leadership team have a long standing track record of working with some of the largest and most successful Private Equity funds. They work on a global basis and work is split - 40% Europe, 40% US and 20% APAC

They work closely with their clients to develop deep and meaningful knowledge of their organisational structure, business strategy, challenges, culture and values. They focus on having a strong research-led approach and also utilise their extensive global professional network. They work on challenging briefs such as securing a new CEO for a software business that has just been aquired for 1 billion that the PE fund will look to sell for 2-3 billion in 3-5 years time.

With the average consultant executing on 500k of assignments per year they are are a high performing business with outstanting individuals to work with. This year they Have seen the number of assignments they have been instructed on remain strong and average fee size increase.

Job role

To support the business to identify and contact the best talent in the market for specific Executive Searches.

With support, build and structure an innovative and world-class Research Function


Duties & Responsibilities

· Research and provide support in meetings with target clients (pre instruction), including researching information about the target clients and their competitors

· Participate in client briefing calls and meetings, offering information on market insight gained from your research

· Track your progress through the company CRM and take responsibility for data integrity and reporting.

· Monitor Search deliverables against plan and address any project shortfalls.

· Identify and target candidates for client assignments by utilising resources available on the internet such as LinkedIn, company websites, delegate lists, white papers etc.

· Create full market maps for client submission

· Collate market related data such as salary surveys, industry trends, merger & acquisition activity

· Book first screening calls with target candidates and conduct a qualification call ahead of a follow up VC or f2f meeting by the consultant assigned to the search.

· Format candidate CV’s into the standard company format. Admin support also available for this

· Create search reports ready for submission to the client.

· Investigate and make business cases for research and other tools which will help grow the research function.

· Be a superuser of any research tools

· Create and documents processes, KPIs and SLAs for the Research Department


The Opportunity

· Progress to an Executive Search Consultant, with high earning potential and full responsibility for successfully making senior level appointments

Or

· Progress to a Head of Research positions building a team of researchers


Skills & Experience

· Minimum of 3 years’ research experience in a low volume / high fee recruitment environment

· University graduate, ideally in a heavily research-based discipline.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Proficient in the use of MS office including PowerPoint, excel and word.

· Excellent spoken and written English.
