Executive Office Assistant

Salary: £28,498 - £29,922 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Location: Science and Technology Facilities Council, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell, Oxfordshire (both hybrid and flexible working are fully supported)

We have an opportunity to join the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) Executive Support Office, working at the very heart of the organisation. You will be part of a friendly and professional team that collaborates closely with Directors and their teams as well as being a key point of contact for STFC Council members. You will also provide support to the Stakeholder Engagement group on the organisation of VIP visits to our site.

This position has scope for career development and for post holder to develop both themselves and the role.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· coordinating the forward schedule of papers for Executive Board and Council, collaborating closely with Directors and paper authors, checking quality of papers and distributing them via SharePoint

· leading on meeting arrangements and logistics for the Executive Board and Council meetings including booking meeting rooms, accommodation, and transport

· providing admin support for VIP visits to site, and responding to any last minute logistical issues

We are looking for someone with:

· experience of working in a similar administration environment

· clear, concise and professional communication skills, adapting to various audiences

· strong organisational skills with the ability to self-organise, plan and prioritise to achieve objectives
