Executive Assistant 

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation in Nottingham (NG2), for an Executive Assistant in the Corporate Leadership Business Support Team.

You will be primarily responsible for providing comprehensive high level business support to one of our Corporate Directors, with a wide variety of tasks required.

You will be working in a high profile and busy environment where there is regular contact with senior officers, Members and external organisations.

Duties of the Executive Assistant will include:

  • Proactively manage all communication into the CLT Office exercising judgement on how it needs to be responded to and/or progressed.
  • Manage all aspects of the CLT’s diary.
  • Preparation of reports, discussion documents, routine correspondence and communication on behalf of the CLT.
  • Liaise with the full spectrum of senior stakeholders, elected representatives, senior manages and partners on behalf of the CLT.
  • Booking travel arrangements and be proactive in ensuring that members of CLT are well briefed and prepared in respect of their appointments.

To be successful in this role as Executive Assistant, you must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • The ability to prioritise and organise
  • The ability to work as part of a busy team
  • Management or business qualification to NVQ3 or equivalent work based experience.  
  • Experience of providing executive support at a senior level.
  • Experience of working within a high profile, fast paced environment. 

Total number of hours for this post are 18.5 hours (Wed, Thursday, Friday). The successful candidate needs to be flexible for the days they come in. But usually, you can work from home one day a week. The pay rate for this role is £14.41 per hour PAYE.
