Role: Exam Invigilator

Location: Haringey

Salary: £14.17 - £16.00 ph (You will be paid a minimum of 3 hours)

Milk Education are working in partnership with a Secondary School based in Haringey who are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Exam invigilator to support the examinations Officer with day-to-day operation of examination venues and other examination processes, with activities including:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Exams invigilator. The role will include delivering and monitoring small group sessions with pupils, as well as feeding back to families and working closely with teachers. 

As an Exam Invigilator, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils and young people we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. 

About the role:

  • Assisting with setting-up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers.
  • Assisting candidates prior to the start of examinations
  • Ensuring that candidates do not talk once inside examination venues
  • Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with irregularities
  • Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Access to an email account so invigilation schedules can be arranged with the Examinations Officer
  • A positive interest in young people and their
  • The ability to be flexible
  • Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills
  • A firm but fair attitude
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Physical  fitness appropriate to tasks required (exam papers can be heavy in bulk, and there is a lot of walking involved)
