- £35,000 annual salary

We are working with a national business compliance company that offers expert advice on HR, Employment Law and Health & Safety to business owners across the UK. As a group, they are the global leader in HR consultancy and software with over 130,000 Group clients worldwide.

They are currently looking for an Events & Seminars Manager to join their busy team and make some positive changes in their events processes.


About the job:

In this role you will be responsible for taking ownership for the company’s existing events and seminars team. You will own, review and deliver every element of the events programme with a goal of making improvements and taking it to the next level.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly supporting the Head of Events
  • Growing the events business via webinars and seminars
  • Meeting KPI’s
  • Managing the team to deliver your strategy and events programme for the financial year
  • Reviewing every element of the events process and making recommendations in all areas
  • Managing 12 virtual webinars per quarter with the scope to grow rapidly
  • Writing initial briefs with the marketing team to ensure events generate engagement from the right audience, supporting associations, partners and more
  • Assisting with software such as Marketo, developing newsletters and a variety of email communications
  • Reviewing invitations, data and how attendance to events is currently driven and making recommendations to enhance the effectiveness from a cost, attendee and conversion perspective
  • Recruiting, training and managing speakers who deliver the seminars
  • Supporting and training the events team to enhance performance
  • Reviewing the content of events and ensuring they are engaging, educational and drive sales opportunities
  • Regularly attending events and trialling new approaches and ideas based on findings
  • Keeping up to date with industry knowledge and external event offerings, ensuring the company remains at the cutting edge of seminars and webinars
  • Working with Marketing, PR and external agencies to strategize and maximise exposure and attendance to events
  • Working with the field sales management team to ensure they are managing the events in the correct way
  • Writing and proof-reading any marketing documents
  • Working with internal and external teams to produce quality event collateral that maximises response and speaks to/engages with the target market
  • Maintaining reliable and accurate management information on all seminars and events
  • Assisting the Head of Digital Growth in reviewing and updating marketing and brand material
  • Maximising the use of social media to drive awareness of events
  • Regularly reviewing tools and digital resources to maximise attendance
  • Attending quarterly sales conference and reporting and updating on the performance of events


You

  • Previous experience managing and delivering seminars and webinars
  • Ability to motivate, lead and coach a team with a focus on driving results and improvement
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills
  • Commercially focused
  • Enjoys hitting targets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong attention to detail, resourcefulness and initiative
  • Effective decision-maker
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
