We are currently recruiting for an Events Executive to join our client, a highly regarded Charity based in Leeds. As part of their dedicated events management team, you will have the chance to work on some of the region's largest and most rewarding fundraising events, whilst supporting the Events Manager, Head of Events, and CEO, gaining excellent exposure across the business. This role offers tremendous growth potential, allowing you to develop your skills and take on more responsibilities as you progress.

We are looking for candidates either with Events experience or a Degree in Events, or alternatively, you may have an additional skillset, perhaps gained from working abroad or completing a placement/internship.

Responsibilities:

As an Events Executive, you will play a vital role in the planning and execution of various events. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Researching challenging event opportunities and providing administrative support to corporate partners and individuals participating in challenge events in support of the charity.
  • Gathering quotes from event suppliers such as venues, children's entertainers, printers, and florists.
  • Assisting with coordinating seasonal campaigns, e.g. Easter and Christmas.
  • Managing ticket sales, including handling telephone and online bookings, inputting sales in the database, raising invoices, processing payments, and dispatching tickets.
  • Diary and record management.

Skills and Qualifications Required for the Events Executive:

To excel in this role, you will need a proactive approach and will enjoy an incredibly busy role where every day will offer you new challenges. You may work within Events, or maybe a Graduate with time out travelling now looking for a new opportunity. The right attitude is vital - a team player who will thrive with a busy workload with the following skills and attributes:

  • Event and planning related experience and a passion to work within events
  • A strong work ethic and a genuine passion for the work that this charity do
  • Drive, ambition, and a proactive approach to taking initiative within your role
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to take on additional responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
  • Good spelling and grammar abilities
  • Confident in conducting research
  • Excellent customer service skills with a polite and helpful demeanor towards stakeholders, beneficiaries, and colleagues
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including committee members, colleagues, beneficiaries, external suppliers, and event support staff
  • Reliable, well-presented, and a team player who thrives in a close-knit office environment.
