We are currently recruiting for an Events and Commercial Officer for one of our heritage clients based in Yorkshire. As a non-for-profit organisation, they pride themselves on delivering educational events and experiences for present and future generations.

As the Events and Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in expanding the organisations events program to ensure economic sustainability and continuous growth. This position requires a strong team ethic, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to finding innovative ways of working. Engaging with our dedicated volunteers is essential for success in this role.

This is a rewarding role that offers autonomy and development. You will need to demonstrate experience with planning and executing live events, sound knowledge of health and safety and experience with safeguarding individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively create, develop, and deliver the annual events plan in alignment with organization of our heritage clients based in Yorkshire.
  • Working collaboratively with both paid staff and dedicated volunteers, the role focuses on expanding the events and commercial program to ensure the economic sustainability and growth of the organization.
  • Contribute to the strategic events and commercial plan.
  • Coordinate and document all health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake adequate risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Work with volunteer teams to assist in delivering established annual events.
  • Internal and stakeholder management.
  • Responsible for all budget management.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • 3+ years' experience in event organization.
  • Proven experience managing health and safety in live events.
  • Track record of success in an event setting.
  • Experience working within budget constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Highly organized, able to work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing personnel and working directly with volunteers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Full UK driving license.
