Our client, a leading player in the entertainment industry, is currently seeking an enthusiastic Event Sales Executive to join their team (Midlands Based). Overview of the Role: As an Event Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through promoting business-to-business opportunities within the education sector and small to medium-sized companies. Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and coordinating flawless execution of events across the national territory.

Main Duties:

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to increase private group bookings across all locations.
  • Analyse sales activity and suggest improvements in marketing communications.
  • Support the UK Sales Manager by attending trade exhibitions, events, and handling administrative duties.
  • Oversee event planning, manage client expectations, and coordinate with internal teams for successful event execution.
  • Proactively identify new sales leads, arrange meetings with clients, and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Report competitor activity to the UK Sales Manager and develop strategies to stay competitive in the marketplace.
  • Achieve annual sales targets for incoming leads, sales conversion rates, and new business generation - 70% base/incoming leads and 30% new business.
  • Provide after-sales service to previously booked events/corporate clients and promote upcoming events.
  • Report sales results to the National Sales Manager on a regular basis.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years of sales and customer service experience, ideally in a B2B role within the Leisure & Hospitality industry. (Desired but not essential)
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to work towards targets.
  • Sound knowledge of sales and negotiation processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Resilient, highly driven, and self-motivated with a desire for personal growth.
  • Full UK driving licence, own car, and willingness to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications and Training:

  • Degree in Business, Management, or Marketing desired but not essential.
  • Customer Service or Sales NVQ desired but not essential.
  • Training in customer service, negotiation, selling skills, leadership, and time management preferred.
