We are seeking an Estimator to join a fantastic team working across high profile infrastructure projects in the UK.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in project planning and execution processes. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with construction projects, from initial conceptualisation through to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are financially viable, competitive, and delivered within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software and historical data to accurately determine material, labour, and equipment costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for various construction trades and scopes of work.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Provide timely and accurate cost estimates to support project planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Certification in estimating or related field (optional but advantageous).
