Estimator - Joinery

Established in 1989, this family-run joinery is recruiting an Estimator to replace someone retiring. Operating from 10,000 sq ft premises, they prioritise a first-class service to customers and operate under an ISO 9001 accreditation.

They are located in Letchworth, near the A1.

THE JOB:
- Analyse project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for joinery projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference
- Provide support during the negotiation and awarding of contracts

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the joinery industry
- Strong knowledge of joinery methods, materials, and costs
- Proficient in preparing estimates
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- £35,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience
- 28 days holiday, including public holidays
