Job Title: Flat and Pitch Roofing Estimator

Job Summary:

The Flat and Pitch Roofing Estimator plays a vital role in our roofing projects by accurately assessing the scope of work, materials required, and associated costs. This individual will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to create detailed proposals and ensure the successful completion of roofing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site evaluations to assess the condition of existing roofs, including measurements and identification of unique features.
• Calculate material quantities and costs for flat and pitch roofing projects, considering roofing materials and related items.
• Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive rates and quality.
• Prepare detailed and accurate proposals for clients, outlining project scope, timelines, and cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, material costs, labour costs, and any other project-related expenses.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new roofing materials and techniques.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding estimates and project details.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the estimation and project completion phases.

Qualifications:

• Education: Education in construction management, roofing, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a roofing estimator, specifically in flat and pitch roofing.
• Roofing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various flat and pitch roofing materials, installation methods, and industry standards.
• Mathematical Skills: Proficient in calculating measurements, quantities, and costs accurately.
• Computer Skills: Experience with estimating software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and documents effectively.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.
