Estimator - Construction

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Location: Lowestoft, East Suffolk

Our client is a family run general contractor. Acting as main contractor to local authorities , private and commercial customers they carry out works ranging from a few hundred pounds up to 2 million. This includes new builds, refurbishments and extensions together with small works and maintenance. They have a customer focused culture and look to provide projects on time and within the clients budget whilst maintaining a healthy profit margin to support the growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the General Manager the duties include but not limited to:-
  • Preparing tenders for submission
  • Completing ITT and PQQ documentation for submission.
  • Working closely with the contracts and small works managers and teams for post tender information
  • Taking off and preparing bills of quantities for pricing.
  • Preparing sub-contractor enquiries and evaluating them for inclusion in tender
  • Preparing and reporting on tender adjudication with the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Estimator with minimum 3+ years experience working with a Main Contractor.
  • An understanding of Conquest Estimating software package (or similar) is essential
