We are currently recruiting for an Estate Operative/ Caretaker to work on a riverside development based in the Docklands, E14. You will be reporting into the Estate Manager day to day on site, ensuring the grounds are kept in fantastic condition for residents.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary: £27,000 pa
Duties:
- Managing the Bins and Bin Area:
- Ensure proper waste disposal and manage the cleanliness of the bin area.
- Litter Picking of the estate grounds and Car Parks and Annual Jet Washing:
- Regularly clean and maintain estate grounds, and car parks, and perform annual jet washing as needed.
- Security Checks on Blocks:
- Perform security checks on all blocks to ensure unauthorized access is prevented.
- Main Entry Door Management:
- Ensure all main entry doors are closed and secure, taking necessary actions to address any issues.
- Small Repairs:
- Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and repairing door handles, painting small areas or patch repair walls.
- Daily Cleaning of Main Entries:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the main entries of each block on a daily basis.
Experience:
- Ideal candidates will have previous experience within the role
- Knowledge on basic health and safety would be beneficial
- Hands on approach
