Estate Gardener
Berkshire
£26,000 - £27,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious team as an Estate Gardener for a renowned 70-acre estate in Berkshire. This estate boasts stunning formal gardens, parklands, waterways, woodlands, and leisure facilities, serving a prominent private client.

While possessing qualifications in horticulture is preferred, it's not obligatory as the role offers on-the-job training in horticultural practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in high-quality gardening, with a preference for prior work in private estate teams.

Responsibilities encompass various tasks including general horticulture, lawn care, chemical applications (requiring certification), seasonal maintenance, and the maintenance of garden features. Additionally, duties involve overseeing the artificial tennis court and managing waterways and the irrigation system, with machinery operation training provided.

Beyond horticultural expertise, the desired candidate should exhibit cooperation, enthusiasm, and adeptness in teamwork. They should be adept at following direction while also capable of working independently and taking initiative as necessary. Strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills, and the ability to perform under pressure are vital. Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to personal development are also highly valued attributes in potential candidates.
