This is an excellent HR opportunity as an ER Advisor, working with an exceptional business!

Key Deliverables: 

  • Provide practical, expert first line support to Managers around Employee Relations matters.
  • Manage end to end employee relations cases following legislation and policy including investigations, hearings, consultation, appeals and tribunals related to disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, restructures, settlements, absence management, TUPE transfers and flexible working as examples.
  • Advise and operate in employee relations across Europe with opportunity to expand to other territories globally.
  • Manage and develop policies and procedures in accordance with legislation across all locations.
  • Create and maintain content in the employee knowledge base for a global audience across different entities.
  • Work with feedback to encourage use of self-service knowledge articles and policies.
  • Understand and translate policies for managers and employees.
  • Manage queries empathetically in a timely manner.
  • Support and coach line managers to manage ER cases (in some business units including verbal warnings and counselling).
  • Use occupational health services, writing referrals and using outputs appropriately as part of ER work.
  • Use relevant HR systems to track case progress and manage the case, as well as see pertinent employee details.
  • Manage ER and HR related projects.

The Right Candidate: 

  • Will have experience managing a varied ER caseload within a professional and manufacturing workforce.
  • A solid understanding of GDPR and best practice.
  • Prior experience applying current employee relations legislation.
  • Experience working in ER in manufacturing, haulage or factory environments.
  • Comfortable and confident in writing and amending policy.
  • Confident in creating easily digestible and understandable knowledge base articles for varied audiences.
  • An ability to translate policy for managers and employees.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and ensure appropriate outcomes for all.
  • Change management processes.
  • Experience managing cases within disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, restructures, settlements, absence management, TUPE transfers and flexible working etc.
  • Able to support over the phone, video call and face-to-face.
