AL749: Equipment Wirer

Location: Oxford

Salary: Up to £40,000

The position:

  • Full-time permanent position. Required to wire Aligner Wafer Bonder systems which are supplied to the semiconductor industry.
  • The machine is PC-controlled and consists of moving stages within a vacuum chamber; the wiring work is largely mechanical, using hand tools.
  • A minimum of three years practical equipment wiring work is required, and experience of mechanical assembly would be an advantage. The job also involves mechanical assembly and the setup and testing of the machine for which training would be provided.
  • The company operates to ISO9001, and detailed assembly and test procedures are followed throughout the assembly.
  • The job is normally 7.75 hours per day (plus 45-minute lunch break) Monday to Friday.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and worldwide to install or service our clients’ machines may be required.

Ideal credentials:

  • Have a natural ability to take initiative and respond quickly and effectively to solve problems
  • Have excellent time management skills and be willing to show flexibility to meet the needs of our business
  • Have prior experience adhering to a quality system
  • Be willing and able to work as part of a team
  • Be professional with a “can do attitude”
