Environmental Health Officer
Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for two talented, committed, and friendly Environmental Health Officers to join us in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £36,648 - £39,186per annum (pay award pending).
You are a qualified Environmental Health Officer (holding an EHRB Certificate or hold CIEH chartered or registered status) or a qualified graduate who holds a CIEH accredited BSc or MSc in Environmental Health and has almost completed the CIEH’s Chartered Practitioner Programme or registration process.
You are a committed but flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player and looking to work in busy, high-profile environment delivering commercial food, health and safety and some licensing objectives. You will have the ability to monitor and manage your own casework, make timely decisions, and deliver agreed outcomes. You will have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and will possess excellent verbal and written communication, in addition to excellent negotiation skills, and an ability to explain legislation, procedures and requirements to a wide audience.
You are enthusiastic and able to carry out the full range of day-to-day functions and duties of a Food and Health and Safety Environmental Health Officer, in accordance with legislative requirements and the Council’s policies and objectives.
