Job Title: Environmental Coordinator
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £48,000

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a major food manufacturing company in Leicestershire, for an Environmental Coordinator.

About the Role:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1630

As an Environmental Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in driving environmental excellence within the company. Working closely with the Senior Teams and SHE Manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the environmental strategy, ensuring alignment with policy commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

*Collaborate with the SHE Manager to develop and implement environmental strategy, compliance processes, and procedures.
*Facilitate the ongoing development and support the certification process of the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001 standards.
*Cultivate a positive Environmental culture through education, training and coaching, fostering behavioural changes to improve performance.
*Coordinate and support the management of stakeholder relationships, including the Environment Agency, Customers, Local Community and Group, to ensure compliance and resolve issues effectively.
*Identify opportunities for performance improvement, working with the Site Management teams to achieve project targets, improved risk ratings and cost efficiency.

About You:

*Previous environmental experience, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment.
*Experience with ISO 14001 verification audits.
*Strong background in working with partnerships.
*Up-to-date knowledge of environmental legislation.
*Proficient in report writing.
*Understanding of chilled food manufacturing.
*Awareness of basic business financial reporting and interpretation.
*Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
*Flexible approach to work and a strong team player.
