Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students who have faced challenges in the mainstream education system? Are you dedicated, resilient, and have strong behaviour management skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant in our Alternative Provision setting in West Drayton.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with students who, for various reasons, cannot attend mainstream school and have been excluded. In this role, you will provide vital one-on-one support to these students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and fostering a nurturing environment where they can thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with individual students, tailoring support to their unique needs.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with students, offering guidance, mentor ship, and encouragement.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of personalised learning plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure students' progress is monitored and supported.
  • Provide emotional and social support, helping students develop resilience and coping skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Resilience and a strong personality, capable of handling challenging situations with patience and understanding.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • An empathetic and compassionate approach to working with students.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome educational barriers.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; we welcome applications from those who are looking to start their career in this field.

Location: Our Alternative Provision is located in West Drayton, London. You must be able to commute to this location.
