Our client is looking for an Engineering Workshop Manager to join their team at Preston to manage all aspects of engineering performance in the depot, including Health and Safety, fleet planning and ensure the delivery of a great customer experience.

They want an individual with a can-do attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help lead the team.

See below a few things they require from you:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Engineering background.
  • Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent.
  • Possession of a PSV Licence or willingness to work towards acquiring this.

Job role:

To manage all aspects of engineering performance in the depot, including Health & Safety, fleet planning and environmental management, delivering excellent customer experience, while managing a governance agenda that supports legislative and policy compliance.

Identify and resolve day to day engineering issues, provide updates and escalate key issues or concerns to the line manager.

Engage front line colleagues though effective communication, active listening, and recognition.

The Workshop Manager will ensure that standard policies and procedures are adopted within the depot and will ensure that the daily Run in/Run out process is supported with effective allocation of resources.
