Main Function/Job Objective:
Responsibility for the development and performance of engineering.  Provide support to the engineers and senior engineers with any training needs.  Motivate to achieve branch contribution targets. Promote a high level of customer care in order that the service provided meets the customer’s expectations.
Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Encourage and give guidance on complying with Company procedures for:
  • Contract /design review
  • Health and safety
  • Company vehicle use
  • Timesheets, holiday forms, business expenses
  • Controlling material cost
  • Provide leadership and give guidance with Industry Standards and encourage improvement
  • Promote the achievement of service level targets and any other customer requirements
  • Carry out performance review of engineers and monitor their adherence to job descriptions
  • Promote generation of sales opportunities
  • To work with the HR Department and Management to identify training needs within the business and assist in recording personal development for employees.
 
Relationships and Roles:
 
  • Ensure relationships with clients are maintained successfully
  • Develop successful performance with sales team through support and encouragement
  • Conduct regular coaching, counselling, advice, support, motivation or information that engineers and senior engineers need in order to help them meet their targets and objectives
  • Liaise with sales and national accounts personnel to ensure work
 
Regional Responsibilities
 
  • Assist and support branches and Managers to achieve financial targets set by Directors
  • Implement and manage weekly/monthly financial forecasting across the region
  • Responsible for the control/management and resolution of all client/contractual engineering complains within the region
  • Assist in regional cover at the branches when needed
  • Work with the HR Department on recruitment
 
Knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience preferably (CCTV, Fire, Access and Intruder)
  • Experience leading a team of engineers
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
